BEST ME ASSEMBLY
Creekside students learned about making healthy choices and how they can be their own "Best Me" everyday. Thank you, Kaiser, for coming to Creekside! MRS. RG's CITIZENSHIP CEREMONY
Our own Mrs. Roachford-Gould became a U.S. citizen last year! Login |
Our current Life Skill focus is........Patience To wait calmly for someone or something. What does PATIENCE look like at school?
Family Math Night
Creekside Yearbooks Returning!Yearbook sales have begun. Take advantage of the "Early Bird" price of $18.00! The price increases to $23.00 after January. MR. SOY IS A U.S. CITIZEN!
Creekside students participated in a very special kind of history lesson when our own Community Liaison, Mr. Soy because a U.S. Citizen on Friday, October 21, 2011. Kindergarten RoundupIf you have a child who will turn 5 years old by November 1st, 2012, please enroll him or her in Kindergarten. Kindergarten enrollment will take place between January 30th and February 9th. We will also be offering a Kindergarten Orientation for new students and their families this spring. The date will be determined shortly. Please come by the office to pick up forms. Creekside's Fabulous PTAAre you a member of our PTA? Probably not. How do I know this? Because we currently have only 30 paid-up PTA members at a school which exceeds 600 students. For your $6.00 membership, and support of our fundraisers, your contribution helps pay for field trips, bingo nights, craft night, karaoke night, Harvest Festival, a new sound system for the school, test prep books for every child, costumes for the winter play, teacher appreciation, treats for the Positive Choices celebrations, full Thanksgiving dinners (turkey included) , and a current food closet for needy families, Friday popcorn and popsicle sales, and a myriad of other activities, equipment, and supplies for Creekside kids. None of these great things could happen without the hard work of our PTA. We need to increase our membership to be a viable organization under PTA rules. If you have not yet joined, please do so. Stop by the school office, or ask your child’s teacher for a membership envelope. You child needs YOU!
Plan ahead for PTA Bingo!
PTA Bingo is coming on February 7. Come play Bingo with us for FREE! PTA will have food available for purchase as well. Walking Students ReminderIf your children are walking to and from school, please remind them to go directly to school in the morning or home in the afternoon. We have received reports from our neighbors in the Creekside area that several yards are being walked through and gardens are being disturbed. Let’s all do our part to keep our community safe and to keep our respect for everyone "in check". Thank you!
Visitors and VolunteersIf you are coming onto school grounds during school hours, it is a district policy that all visitors and volunteers must come to the office to sign in and receive a badge. We THANK YOU for your understanding and for your part in helping us to know everyone who is on campus so we can keep kids and staff safe and secure. |
Creekside Cougar CodeTreat others the way you would like to be treated. Respect yourself as well as others. Use "put ups" rater than "put downs." Solve problems in a positive manner. Respect our environment by keeping our school and campus clean. Arrive at school on time and ready to learn.
Congratulations Chloe!
Chloe won Creekside's Spelling Bee, placed 1st in the North Stockton Spelling Bee, and tied for third place in the San Joaquin County Spelling Bee. Way to go, Chloe!! SAFETY MESSAGEThere have been a number of car break-ins in our school parking lot this school year. In every case, a woman’s purse has been stolen from inside the car. Even if you hide your purse, if you get out of your car without a purse, thieves will know there’s a purse in your car somewhere to be taken. Please do not leave valuables in your car unattended, even for a minute! Our campus has also been vandalized over weekends and overnight. It costs a lot of money to clean up messes, broken glass, and inappropriate spray-painted words and drawings of body parts on our campus when we could be using that money to educate children instead. The Creekside staff has raised some funds to pay for the installation of security cameras and monitors around campus to help make our campus a safer place. We have also increased the height of our fencing around the Thornton Road side of our campus, and installed a gate near our preschool classrooms. Hopefully these efforts will help make our campus more secure. NERD DAY
